The succulent Euphorbia decepta grows as a very small shrub from a thick root that merges into the plant body. The partly underground growing body is up to 8 centimeters wide and 10 centimeters long. On the surface it is provided with a pattern of around 12 millimeter areas. The spreading branches are patterned with 5 millimeter large warts. The youngest branches are arranged around the central vegetation point, are up to 3.7 centimeters long and reach a diameter of 8 millimeters.

The individual cyathia appear at the shoot tips, reach a diameter of 7 millimeters and stand on 4 to 15 millimeter long stems. A few small bracts are formed on these stems , which later harden and are persistent. The individually standing nectar glands are dark green in color and have three to six small teeth on the edges. The bluntly lobed fruit is usually purple in color and sessile. The seed is unknown.
