The Euro Space Center is a scientific museum and conference center in Libin -Transinne near Redu in Belgium. It deals with space travel .

history

In 1968 the ESA (European Space Agency) opened a satellite tracking center in Redu. In 1972, the then mayor Magin organized a large exhibition on space in Redu. The Europa 2 rocket on display in front of the Euro Space Center today was transported to the Euro Space Center from Le Havre , France.

The decision to set up a space camp was significantly influenced by Jacques Planchard , the governor of the province of Luxembourg , so that in Huntsville ( Alabama ) talks between the USSCF (US Space Camp Foundation) and IDElux (Intercommunale D'Equipements Economiques de la Province de Luxembourg) came. In September 1990 the foundation stone was laid for the Euro Space Center, which was officially inaugurated and opened in June 1991. In March 1994, the Euro Space Society was founded under the chairmanship of the Belgian astronaut Dirk Frimout . The Belgian Ministry of Education has recognized the Euro Space Center's educational programs since September 1995. In June 2000 the Euro Space Center received the "A Space Odyssey" adventure tour. Since then, a modern solar facade and a new access road have been built.
