The 14th Eurofest took place on March 7, 2019 and was the Belarusian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv ( Israel ) The singer ZENA won the show with her song Like It .

format

concept

As in the previous year , ten participants will again take part in the Eurofest in 2019. However, this number can vary due to the quality of the submitted contributions. In 2019, however, for the first time since 2013, when Aljona Lanskaja's contribution was selected internally, only a jury will decide which contribution wins the preliminary decision. Televoting, which was introduced at the Eurofest in 2009, will be abolished again.

Choice of contribution

From January 22, 2019 to January 31, 2019, contributions could be submitted to BTRC . Only the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest applied, other rules did not apply.

On February 1, 2016, BTRC announced that they had received a total of 113 songs. The submitted contributions were heard by a jury on February 4, 2019. These auditions were broadcast live on the BTRC website. The jury then sat down again and decided which candidates would make the preliminary decision.

final

The winner of the preliminary decision was determined by an expert jury. Seven jurors gave the performers zero to ten points. Had there been a tie, a second vote would have taken place.
