European Association for Distance Learning
The European Association for Distance Learning (EADL) , until 1999 the Association of European Correspondence Schools (AECS) , is an international professional association of private distance learning institutes and distance learning universities based in Selby , Great Britain .
The work of the association aims to improve both the quality and the acceptance of distance learning.
Distance learning institutes and distance learning universities from 21 countries are currently organized within the EADL, most of them within the EU , but also in Iceland , Norway , Ukraine , Switzerland , India and Turkey . In Germany these include:
- APOLLON University of Health Economics
- Civil Aviation Training Europe
- European Distance Learning University Hamburg (Euro-FH)
- Institute for Learning Systems (ILS)
- Study Community Darmstadt (SGD)
- Wilhelm Büchner University
Members from Germany are also the Forum DistancE-Learning Association and the German Further Education Society (DWG).
