The European Association for Library and Information Education and Research (EUCLID) was founded in Stuttgart in 1991 with the aim of promoting exchange in library and information science . A primary task is to facilitate the exchange of students from the member institutions.
EUCLID organizes the BOBCATSSS conference annually and awards two awards:
- BOBCAT Award (since 2006) for the greatest recognition and respect for exceptional achievements in the library and information sciences
- Internationalization Award (since 2014) for promoting cooperation and internationalization among member institutions
