European Blues Union

The European Blues Union (EBU) was founded in Brussels in 2010 to coordinate the promotion of the blues in Europe . The EBU sees itself as the European partner of the US Blues Foundation .

history

As a result of an Italian initiative, the first "European Blues Conference" took place in Parma in 2008 , at which over 70 participants from 18 countries discussed the establishment of the European Blues Union. The second “European Blues Conference” in Notodden , Norway , prepared concrete steps that ultimately led to the establishment of the European Blues Union in June 2010 in Brussels , Belgium .

The European Blues Union operates its own web presence (see web links), organizes the annual “ European Blues Challenge ” with the “Blues Market” and the “Blues Expo” to publicize its activities. An “EBU General Assembly” takes place every year.
