Nico Brandenburger (born January 17, 1995 in Berlin ) is a German football player .

Career

societies

After the stations at BFC Preussen and Hertha BSC, Brandenburger moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach's U-19. In 2013 he moved to the second team of Borussia for the first time. On February 21, 2013 he came to the 0-0 in the Regionalliga West against the second representation of Fortuna Düsseldorf for use. He played a total of 86 games in RL West, scoring eight goals. In the 2014/15 season he was champion in RL West. However, he failed with the Gladbach second representation in the promotion round to the 3rd division at Werder Bremen II . Brandenburger was in Borussia Mönchengladbach's Bundesliga squad several times, but was not used.

In the 2015/16 season, Brandenburger was loaned to FC Luzern in Switzerland. His only appearance for the 1st team was in the 1st round of the Swiss Cup against Servette FC Genève . Due to a persistent injury this season, which lasted from September 2015 to June 2016, he only played a few times in the fourth class first division for the U-21s of Lucerne.

On July 1, 2017, he moved to the 3rd division at Fortuna Cologne . He made his debut in League 3 on July 29, 2017, the 2nd matchday. In this 2-0 win against FC Carl Zeiss Jena , he came in the 88th minute for Robin Scheu in the game. After the end of the 2018/2019 season, after relegation with Fortuna, he moved to Preußen Münster , where he received a two-year contract.

National team

Brandenburger played in the national U-teams of the DFB between 2009 and 2015 . In addition to appearances in numerous friendly matches, he was also a participant in the U-17 European Football Championship in 2012 . In this tournament he played all the games and failed with the U17 only in the final at the U17 of the Netherlands .
