Roman Prokoph (born August 6, 1985 in Berlin ) is a German football player .
Career
He started playing soccer as a youth at Adlershof BC and moved to the junior division of 1. FC Union Berlin in 1995 , where he played until 2005. After a short stopover at the upper division Ludwigsfelder FC , Prokoph moved to FC St. Pauli for the next two years in the summer of 2006 . In the summer of 2008 he joined VfL Bochum , where he was initially only used in the 2nd team and scored 12 goals in 31 regional league games. On November 22, 2009, the striker made his Bundesliga debut under coach Heiko Herrlich in a 1-0 win against Hamburger SV . In this and in the following season, however, he was only used in phases and did not score in 25 games in professional football. The second half of the 2010/11 season he played exclusively in the Regionalliga West .
For the 2011/12 season Prokoph moved to Austria for Kapfenberger SV . During the winter break 2011/12 he moved to the German third division to SpVgg Unterhaching , where he 4 February 2012 under coach Heiko Herrlich in the match against Chemnitzer FC made his debut, as he, after 69 minutes for Janik Haberer came on .
In July 2012 Sportfreunde Lotte announced the commitment of Prokoph with a contract term until June 30, 2013. For the 2013/14 season he moved to VfL Osnabrück , but left the club again after six months and joined the second team from Hannover 96 . There he played for two and a half years in the Regionalliga Nord before moving to the reserve of 1. FC Köln. With 1. FC Köln II he played three seasons in the Regionalliga West and scored 39 goals again, as before for Hannover 96.
For the 2019/20 season, Prokoph moved within the city to SC Fortuna Köln , which had recently been relegated to the regional league of his previous club.
