Euryglottis is a genus from the butterfly family of moth (Sphingidae).
features
The species of the genus Euryglottis are similar to those of the genus Manduca , but they differ in their significantly thicker antennae . The head, thorax and abdomen, as well as the rails ( tibia ) of all legs are thickly covered with woolly hair. This feature suggests that the animals are adapted to a way of life in high mountains. All species lack the pulvillus on the pretarsi, but the animals have a paronychium with an elongated lobe on both sides.
Occurrence and way of life
The genus is neotropically distributed.
