Eurycrates (Sparta)
Eurykrates ( Greek Εὐρυκράτης Eurykrátēs ), son of Polydoros is, in Greek mythology a king of Sparta from the House of Agiaden . He ruled over Laconia and Messinia, which his father had conquered .
Nothing has been reported about the length of his reign, only that at the beginning of the Second Messenian War his son Anaxandros ruled. According to Pausanias , this war began in the fourth year of the 23rd Olympiad in 685/4 BC. Chr.
