Euthias
Euthias ( Greek Εὐθίας ) was an ancient Greek - Attic comedy poet of the 4th century BC. Chr.
No works by Euthias have survived, not even their titles, which is often the case with other authors. The only thing known is that one of his pieces took second place in a competition. In the area of the corner terrace of Kerameikos , the largest ancient cemetery in ancient Athens , the base of Piraeus limestone for a grave monument, a Naïskos , of the poet was found. The base was inscribed with a six-line epigram on the poet. Base and epigram are dated to the middle of the 4th century BC. BC, with which Euthias' life dates can be narrowed down.
