Eva-Maria Kors

Eva-Maria Kors b. Fuchs (born May 22, 1942 in Würzburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former German member of the Bundestag .

Life

Kors worked for various specialist magazines in the textile machinery and consumer goods industries before she became the editor of a church newspaper in the diocese of Münster in 1977 . She is a member of the Catholic German Women's Association and the Catholic Workers' Movement (KAB).

In 1969, Kors joined the CDU. From 1979 on she was chairwoman of the CDU local association Vechta for five years . From 1981 to 1990 she was a member of the city council of Vechta, where she was chairman of the building, planning, environment and urban renovation committee; from 1986 to 1990 she was a member of the local district council. In 1990 she moved into the Bundestag, to which she belonged for three legislative terms until 2002.
