Eva Ras
Eva Ras (Eva Marija Balaš-Stević) (born January 1, 1941 in Subotica , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian actress.
After studying at the dramskih umetnosti faculty in Belgrade, she started acting. Her first major role was in the film Der Schut von Karl May with Lex Barker as Kara Ben Nemsi. With her husband Radomir Stević Ras, she founded the Teatar nacionalne drame theater in 1964 . She played the leading role in the internationally known socially critical film Ljubavni slučaj ili tragedija službenice PTT (1967, director: Dušan Makavejev ). She also wrote plays, books and poetry.
She was praised by the critics as a talented actress and received the Golden Butterfly Prize in Hungary and in 2005 the Aleksandar Lifka Prize for her life's work. The Yugoslav National Film Theater awarded her the great seal. For her books and poems she has received several national prizes in Yugoslavia and Serbia.
