Church in Goldisthal

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Goldisthal is located in the Goldisthal community in the Sonneberg district in Thuringia .

In the years 1891/92 the branch church of the parish of Scheibe was built according to plans by the Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt building council and architect Rudolph Brecht. The neo-Gothic designed hall church was built in townscape determining location next Rotseifenbachtales. Slate stone masonry characterizes the facade, which is structured by a retracted, polygonal apse and three pointed arched nave windows. A gable roof with a gable turret over the western entrance forms the upper end.

The interior is spanned with an open roof structure with a hanging truss . There is a single-storey gallery on three sides . In contrast to the altar , standing in the apse, the pulpit and the baptismal font , all of which are neo-Gothic, the interior has the shape and design of the home style . The organ on the west gallery was built in 1892 by Adam Eifert from Stadtilm . The bronze bell in the roof turret was cast by the Ulrich brothers in Apolda in 1885 .
