Evangelical Christ Church in Königsborn

The Protestant Christ Church is a listed church building in Königsborn , a district of the district town of Unna ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

History and architecture

The cross-shaped hall church was built in 1904/05 in neo-Romanesque forms influenced by Art Nouveau under the direction of Arno Eugen Fritsche . The plastered building stands over an embossed base. The tower is arranged asymmetrically. The walls are divided by partly floral decorated stone . The almost closed painting from the construction period was uncovered from 1977 to 1981. The pulpit altar is kept in Art Nouveau forms.

organ

The organ of the church comes from Detlef Kleuker ( Brackwede ). The instrument has 16 stops on two manuals and pedal; both the game action and the stop action are mechanical.
