history

A previous church in the village, which was designed as a simultaneous church , had to be demolished in 1821 due to its disrepair. The tower of the church remained until 1900; the two old bells of the tower (17th century) were adopted for today's church building.

The construction work for today's evangelical church in Völkersleier began in 1914 and was completed in 1920 due to a four-year interruption caused by the First World War . The facade tower is marked with the year of completion.

The church has had three bells (Gloria motif) since 1954.
