Church Dorfitter 2007 during renovation

The Evangelical Church Dorfitter is a listed building in Dorfitter , a district of Vöhl in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district ( Hesse ).

The church was originally dedicated to St. Bartholomew consecrated. The small rectangular building, which is essentially medieval , was renewed in 1628. The half-timbered superstructure of the ship and the eight-part wooden vault in the choir were built in 1676. A comprehensive renovation was carried out from 2007 to 2009.

The late Gothic altarpiece is considered the work of a painter from the Middle Rhine region. The altarpiece shows an older crucifix in the middle , with four scenes from the life of Christ painted on the side of it. The reredos were restored in the workshop of the State Office for Monument Preservation in Hesse from 2007 to 2009 and then placed back in the church. The west gallery is decorated with richly carved cornices . The pulpit and the wooden baptismal font date from the second half of the 17th century, the pastor's chair from 1695.

On the outer wall is a tombstone with a relief of St. Antonius Hermit attached.
