Eggen Evangelical Church

The Evangelical Church Eggen is the Evangelical Church in the Frauenstein district of Eggen . It is a subsidiary of the parish Sankt Veit an der Glan . The church and its cemetery are under monument protection .

history

The church was built as a branch church of Gnesau . A first tolerance prayer house was built from wood in 1784. The current church dates from 1854. The tower from 1897/98.

Building

The church is designed in a Baroque style, the tower built in Romanesque forms. The three-bay nave has a pilaster structure with high round arched windows and a groin vault. It ends with a lower, recessed round apse. The pulpit altar is classicistic . The west gallery carries the organ in an organ bay.
