History and architecture
The Protestant community was founded in 1843. The building is an early Protestant church in the Münsterland. The plastered, neo-Gothic hall of four bays , with a three-sided choir closure and retracted west tower was built from 1857 to 1859 as a donation by Baron von Bodelschwingh-Plettenberg. The walls are structured by pilaster strips and friezes as well as pointed arch windows. The ogival window openings are decorated with cast iron tracery . In the interior there are flat groin vaults over Doric pilasters ; the choir is vaulted with a shell. The church has a simple, wooden interior.
