Evangelical Church Lauterbach

The Evangelical Church Lauterbach is located on Fohrenbühlstraße in Lauterbach in the Black Forest and was built in 1948 and 1949. The church is the center of the Protestant parish Lauterbach ( Rottweil district ), which belongs to the general parish Schramberg-Lauterbach and which in turn belongs to the parish Sulz am Neckar of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg .

history

From 1904 the first Protestant church service was celebrated in Lauterbach. The community gathered in a rented hall of the Hotel Waldeck. In 1938 a Protestant church designed by the architect Werner Klatte was approved but not built. In 1948, plans for a church with a rectory were submitted for approval and then put into practice. On the 1st of Advent 1949, Pastor Theophil Elwert inaugurated the church with the rectory in Fohrenbühlstrasse.

The Evangelical City Church Schramberg gave her three steel bells from the Bochum Association . The rectory is built directly onto the nave. In 2008 the parish received the “Green Gockel” for its church, the regional church's award for environmentally friendly operation. In 2012, in cooperation with Bürgerenergie Schwarzwald e. G. installed a photovoltaic system with a nominal output of 24.18 kWp.

Parish

In the predominantly Catholic place, a good 400 people belong to the Protestant parish. With the construction of the church and the rectory, a permanent local pastor was introduced in Lauterbach. Until the Second World War, there were two primary schools: one Protestant and one Catholic on the same site with separate schoolyards. In 1972 Lauterbach became part of the Schramberg-Lauterbach parish. The parish office "Schramberg II" has since been responsible for Lauterbach, Sulzbach and the south-west of Schramberg.
