Schramberg town church
The Protestant town church Schramberg is a red sandstone church built in 1874 in the Middle Black Forest . It is the center of the entire Protestant church community Schramberg , Rottweil district . The Schramberg parish belongs to the Sulz parish of the Evangelical State Church in Württemberg .
history
In the 19th century, more and more Protestants moved into the predominantly Catholic Schramberg. These were initially looked after by the Protestant parish in nearby Schönbronn . In 1851 the first Protestant church service in Schramberg was held in a converted garden hall and finally in 1866 a separate parish was established.
The town church was built in 1874 and was eaten . After the church became too small for the community, it was expanded in 1898 to include today's main nave, which stands across the original church and today has a smaller tower on the front nave and a large tower on the main nave.
organ
On December 13th, 2009 the new organ of the church was inaugurated. The instrument was built by the Heintz (Schiltach) organ building company. It has 22 stops on two manuals and a pedal. The key actions are mechanical, the stop actions are electrical.

Peal
The original church had three small bells in what is now the small bell tower. When the large church tower was built, it also received three large bells. In 1949 the Protestant church was built in the neighboring village of Lauterbach . The three bells of the small tower were given to the new church. These are steel bells from the Bochum Association from 1873
From the end of 2016, the previous ringing will be extended by four more bells through a dedicated foundation. The bell expert of the regional church recommended, because the existing mighty bells from 1952 in the main tower are large and tuned lower, to purchase four smaller and bright-sounding bells. The largest of the new bells will hang in the main tower, the three smaller ones in the small tower. The consecration and the hanging of the new bells is planned for July 2016.
Various suggestions for naming exist. They could be called Peter, Paul, Luther and Jubilee bells, since 2017 is the year of the Reformation anniversary .
