The Protestant parish church in Bleiberg-Nötsch in the municipality of Bad Bleiberg was first built as a tolerance prayer house in 1783 and expanded into a church in 1857/58 with the erection of the tower and other modifications. In 1990 the polychromy from 1800 was restored.

Building

In the west facade of the ship is the three-storey west tower with two-part, round-arched sound windows and a clock under an overarching arch. The four bells, cast in 1856, are among the oldest cast steel bells in the world. The tower is crowned by a pointed helmet. There is a closed vestibule on the tower ground floor. The church facade is divided into the choir and nave by arched windows, pilaster strips and arched frieze.

Inside, a hexagonal choir closes off the four-axis hall. The flat ceiling is decorated with a simple stucco molding, the walls with pilasters . The large gallery with a swinging center stands on two delicate columns.

Facility

The painting of the baroque altar is labeled "Carl Vogl, Gratz 1850" and shows the risen Christ. The pulpit and baptismal font are from the end of the 18th century, the organ from the 19th century. A painting by Emperor Joseph II from 1796 is also part of the church's furnishings.
