The Evangelical Hospital Lutherstift Frankfurt (Oder) / Seelow is an institution of the Lutherstift gGmbH and belongs to the Evangelisches Diakonissenhaus Berlin Teltow Lehnin group of companies. The Evangelical Hospital has two locations: In Frankfurt (Oder), geriatric patients in particular are treated. Medical services in the internal, surgical and endoscopic areas are provided at the Seelow site. The comprehensive emergency care in the Märkisch-Oderland district is guaranteed by the emergency clinic.
history
On the occasion of Martin Luther's 400th birthday in 1883, the citizens of the city of Frankfurt (Oder) founded the "Luther Foundation in Frankfurt an der Oder". The aim of the association was to set up a deaconess mother and hospital. In October 1891 the newly built house could be occupied by the first superior with a chief physician and two deaconesses from Stettin . The chapel, built over three floors, is still located in the center of the building.
