Evangelos Rallis

Evangelos Rallis ( Greek Ευάγγελος Ραλλις ) was a Greek tennis player and in 1896 participant in the first modern Olympic Games in Athens .

He finished fourth at the Summer Olympics in 1896 in doubles with the Greek Konstantinos Paspatis . They lost in the first round to the later silver medalists Dionysios Kasdaglis and Dimitrios Petrokokkinos . In the individual , Rallis finished fifth after losing to the Irish and later gold medalist John Pius Boland in the second round .

Otherwise little is known about Rallis. In 1888 an EP Ralli played tennis at Queen's Club , which may be Evangelos Rallis. He came from London and attended Eton College , where he played cricket in 1873 and 1874 .
