Evelin Bürger (born May 3, 1952 in Kiel ) is a German author , founder of the publishing house and tarot specialist .

life and work

Evelin Bürger worked as an educator and social worker in women's shelters and community centers in Cologne . In 1977 she was a co-founder of the Cologne home initiative. In 1989 she founded Königsfurt Verlag together with Johannes Fiebig , which they both managed until 2006. In 2007 the Königsfurt Verlag was transferred to the Königsfurt-Urania Verlag GmbH . Bürger worked there as a press and PR officer until November 2017.

Evelin Bürger and Johannes Fiebig have lived together since 1982; they have two children together. Since 1984 they have published almost twenty common Tarot titles with a total circulation of around 2 million copies. Some books have been translated into up to 13 languages.

Bürger / Fiebig are “one of the most successful tarot authors worldwide (...). The drawing of the 'day ticket' goes back to them, the basic exercise in card reading that is common today, the 'double interpretation' of every symbol they have established as the standard ”.

They are considered pioneers of modern tarot interpretation, with a psychological approach based on symbolism and recognized rules of dream interpretation .
