Eveline Bartlitz

Eveline Bartlitz (born December 17, 1926 in Berlin ) is a German librarian , editor and Weber researcher.

Live and act

Eveline Bartlitz grew up as the only child of Charlotte and Arthur Bartlitz in Berlin-Mitte . She attended a private Protestant school there. She then trained as a bookseller and worked for a short time in this profession in the Gsellius bookstore . In 1947 her dream of becoming a librarian came true, for which she successfully graduated from a technical college. From December 1, 1948, she was employed in the music department of the Berlin State Library . She carried out this job full-time until July 1991 and is considered a competent contemporary witness in this department. In the same year, membership in the newly founded International Carl-Maria-von-Weber-Gesellschaft e. V. and there she was secretary until 2005. She had already dealt intensively with this composer since 1982.

  • 2005 Honorary member of the International Carl Maria von Weber Society. V.
  • On the occasion of her 90th birthday on December 18, 2016, a special volume of the digital edition of Weber's complete edition, relating to Weber's years of activity in Prague (1813–1816), was presented on the Internet, on which all employees of the Detmold edition management and the Berlin office collaborated.
