Evelyn Pollock

Evelyn Pollock (* 1977 in Chicago ) is an American opera singer ( soprano / coloratura soprano ).

Life

Evelyn Pollock graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in psychology from which she graduated magna cum laude . She then studied singing at Indiana University Bloomington and Northwestern University . Her singing teacher was the internationally famous singer Costanza Cuccaro .

After her vocal studies Evelyn Pollock, the winner of several US singing competitions, gave a guest performance. a. in the following opera houses in the USA: Santa Fe Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Opera Company Philadelphia, Michigan Opera Theater, Minnesota Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Hawaii Opera Theater, Kentucky Opera. Evelyn Pollock has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the St. Gallen Theater since the 2007/2008 season , where she received positive reviews as Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor .

The artist is married to the tenor Derek Taylor . The couple appear on stage together again and again, for example as Violetta and Alfredo in La traviata .

In addition to her stage presence, Evelyn Pollock is active as an oratorio, lied and concert singer. In 2007 she made her debut with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Regina Coeli at Carnegie Hall .
