Evelyn Ward

Evelyn Ward (born May 21, 1923 in West Orange , New Jersey - † December 23, 2012 ) was an American actress .

Life

Evelyn Ward was born to Frederick and Ethel L. Ward. She took acting lessons and appeared in 1949 as assistant to presenter Johnny Downs in the variety series Manhattan Showcase , which was broadcast on prime time by the TV station CBS . In 1950 she took on a role in the television series The College Bowl , in the 1960s she appeared in television series such as solo for ONCEL and Perry Mason .

She was married three times: from 1948 to 1956 with the actor Jack Cassidy , then with the film director Elliot Silverstein and finally with Al Williams until his death. With Jack Cassidy Evelyn Ward has a son, David Cassidy . He also became an actor and an international teen idol in the 1970s .

She died on December 23, 2012 of complications from dementia .
