Even Northug (born September 26, 1995 in Mosvik ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Northug was ninth in the sprint at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme in January 2014 and 11th in the skiathlon at the Norwegian Championships in Gålå in March of the same year . In January 2015 he reached 16th place in the sprint at the national championships in Røros . At the end of February 2015, Northug had his first appearance in the Scandinavian Cup in Jõulumäe . With third place in the sprint in the classic technique, he achieved his first podium finish in the first race. In March 2015, Northug made his debut in the Cross-Country World Cup with 47th place in the sprint in Drammen .
