Event is an American progressive metal band that was formed in 1996.
Band history
The band members came together at Berklee College of Music and initially called themselves Mystic Fishook. Their debut album Electric Skies was released in 1998 or 1999. Event received positive reviews and were now regarded as promising newcomers due to their original progressive metal with fusion influences, many breaks and solos as well as electronic effects. The influences from electronic music were increasingly evident on the following two releases, Human Condition and Scratching at the Surface , which were published by InsideOut Music . After that it became quiet about the band, which did not make the breakthrough.
