Evin Çiçek

Evin Aydar Çiçek (* 1961 or 1964 in İmranlı , Sivas ) is a Kurdish-Alevi writer and journalist .

Life

Evin Çiçek grew up in İmranlı in the village of Cimen and attended elementary school there. Then the family moved to Istanbul ; Çiçek continued to attend school there and graduated successfully. Evin Çiçek was arrested during the military coup on September 12, 1980 in Turkey . She was held in Selimiye and Metris Prison for days. After her release, she attended university and also successfully completed it.

In 1983 she married the politician Zübeyir Aydar . She has been separated from him since 1993, and divorced since 1999. Then she moved to Siirt and directed the İnsan Hakları Derneği there . In 1993 she did research for her book in Imranli / Kocgiri. In the same year Evin Çiçek went abroad and still lives abroad today.
