Excision (musician)

Excision (real name Jeff Abel ; * 1986 in Kelowna , British Columbia ) is a Canadian DJ and music producer specializing in Dubstep , Drum & Bass and Electro House . In 2011 he released his debut album X Rated on mau5trap .

Career

Excision began producing electronic music and performing as a DJ in 2004. In 2007 he founded his own label "Rottun Recordings" and released his first single "No Escape". In 2009 Pendulum offered him to produce a remix for their song Showdown .

On September 12, 2011 Excision's first album "X Rated" was published. About a year later he also released an album which only contains remixes of the songs on "X Rated". Both albums were largely positively received by the media.

In 2012 he founded the band Destroid together with Downlink and KJ Sawka, the former drummer of Pendulum. They do not publish any sound carriers under this name, but only perform live.

In 2015, he was a feature guest on Tech N9ne's album Special Effects.
