Exorheic flow
As exorheischer flow ( Greek ἔξω exo , outside '; ῥεῖν rhein , flow') is a flow Denoted by itself or as part of a flow system as surface water flows into the sea.
Apply as examples
- for the confluence with the North Sea : the Rhine , the Werra , the Elbe , the Weser and the Ems
- the Danube should be mentioned for the confluence with the Black Sea .
A river with no surface discharge into the sea is called an endorheic river . It can also drain into the sea as seepage water , but in limnology only surface water runoff counts as exorheic.
