exponaRt is an artist group from the Ore Mountains , consisting of ten wood sculptors and wood designers with different styles and working methods.

History of the group exponaRt

The group was founded in 2002 and aims at exchanging ideas between artists. Traditional Ore Mountains carvings are combined with modern art. The artists of the exponaRt group jointly organize symposia , exhibitions and commissions. Since 2004, the group has presented its annual exhibition in the Daetz-Centrum in Lichtenstein, Saxony . The exponaRt group also presents itself in galleries in Aue , Schneeberg and Zwickau . Several works of art on the Lichtenstein sculpture trail were created by members of the artist group exponaRt. For the city of Oelsnitz / Erzgeb. In 2014 and 2015, the group of artists held two wood carving symposia lasting several days. Sculptures in the form of "seated" musical instruments and plant motifs were created on the state horticultural show area under observation of many interested visitors. These can be permanently experienced in the grounds of the community and family park in Oelsnitz.
