Extize ( spelling EXT! ZE ) is a German-French music group from Heidelberg .
history
Extize was founded in 2007 by Cyb3rella (vocals and composition) as a one-man project. The project became a four-piece German-French band at the end of 2007 with the addition of Cyb3rSlut (e-drums), Ionic Matrix (keyboards and guitar) and Cyb3rc0re (sampling). The club hits Poser and Hellektrostar were released in 2008 on the samplers Extreme Störfrequenz 1 and Extreme Sündenfall 7 . Due to the success of these songs, the Trisol label became aware of Extize and signed the band. In 2009 the first EP Hellektrostar was released , which entered the German Alternative Charts. After a cover story on the music magazine Orkus , Extize became a much discussed topic on the growing trend in cyber culture . Extize is considered one of the pioneers in the German cyber scene . A few months after the Hellektrostar EP, the first album FallOut Nation was released . Extize had their first appearance on January 29th, 2009 at the Dark-Dance-Treffen in Lahr together with big names like SAM, Faderhead, Diorama, Henke, Eisenfunk and Reaper.
In early 2010 Cyb3rc0re left the band and DJ Barus joined the band as the new live DJ. Extize has since played at events in France, Switzerland and Germany. On May 23, 2010 the band played for the first time at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig. In June 2010 the band released their second EP Gothic Pussy with an accompanying video clip. At that time, ExtizeTV was also opened, where video tour books, impressions and live videos of the band can be seen. Shortly after the release of Gothic Pussy , Extize played on July 25, 2010 at the Amphi Festival in Cologne. On September 11, 2010, the band headlined the Essen Originell Festival , where they announced the imminent release of a new album.
The second studio album Paradize 2069 was released on February 25, 2011 in a Digi-Pack version limited to 999 copies. The album consists of 2 CDs ("Heaven" and "Hell"), each with 15 songs. The album is based on a science fiction story written by the band itself, which can be downloaded free of charge in audio book form from a specially designed website. With this album, the band shows a new facet of themselves, the second CD "Heaven" mainly contains future-pop and electro-pop songs and not the Aggrotech familiar from the band's previous releases. At the same time, the band put an online game in the form of a quiz online. Players will be able to download six unreleased songs by the band for free after quitting the game (2 demos from 2007 and 4 remixes). With the release of the album, the band was voted Act of the Month in Orkus magazine. Shortly after the release of the new album Paradize 2069 , the band released their second video for the song Headquake . In 2011 the keyboardist Ionic Matrix was replaced by Jan Dysfunction. In 2011 the EXT! ZE DJ TEAM won the Cyber-Culture Music Award in the category of best national DJ. Shortly thereafter, the band released their third music video clip, which was a cover of the 90s hit Freed from Desire by Gala Rizzatto . In 2012 the band released an EP called Arschloch EP , which stayed in the German Alternative Charts for 8 weeks. The theme song Asshole Alarm became one of the club hits on the scene. In the video for the song, the band members destroy rubber ducks. In 2013 the band released their third album under the name Anarchy Engineers as well as their fifth music video "Kiss & Kill". In the same year, the music videos "Kiss & Kill" and "HeadQuake" were broadcast on IM1 (I Musik One TV) on Orkus TV . In June of the same year, drummer Mondi joined the band. In January 2014 Extize released the fourth studio album under the name Don't Fuck With An Angel on the darkTunes Music Group label. The band made a video for the song Someone Else on this album.
