The women's football department of Extremadura UD from Spain has existed since 2017 after the incorporation of the CFF Puebla / Extremadura FCF.
history
The Club de Fútbol Femenino Puebla was founded in 1996 in the small town of Puebla de la Calzada ( Badajoz province ). At the turn of the millennium he experienced his sporting success phase, which culminated in winning the Spanish championship in 2000. This championship title is the first and to date also the only one in the history of Spanish football that has been won by a club from Extremadura . In addition, the club was able to book entry into the finals for the Copa de la Reina in 2001 and 2005 , both of which he lost to Levante UD .
In 2008 the club moved to Almendralejo , where it merged with another club to form the Extremadura Feminino Club de Fútbol . Just a year later, this rose from the first division to the second division, in which he remains. In 2017, the integration into the Extremadura UD, which had only been founded ten years earlier, was completed.
