Eyal Ofer (* 1950 in Haifa ) is an Israeli entrepreneur . He is the richest man in Israel, according to Forbes Magazine's 2018 list, with total assets estimated at $ 9.4 billion.
Life
His father was the entrepreneur Sammy Ofer and his uncle was the entrepreneur Yuli Ofer . His brother is the entrepreneur Idan Ofer .
Eyal Ofer is chairman of real estate investment firm Ofer Global Holdings . He graduated from Atlantic College in Architecture and Engineering. From May 1991 he was Chairman and CEO of the real estate management company Deerbrook. Since 1995 he has been one of the directors of the world's second largest cruise company Royal Caribbean Cruises , in which the Ofer Group has a financial stake through Cruise Associates , a joint venture with the Pritzker family ( Hyatt Hotels). He is also Chairman and CEO of the real estate company Carlyle MG , and since 1996 has also been Co-Chairman of the real estate investment fund Miller Global . He is also a member of the international advisory board of the German real estate and public finance bank Eurohypo ( Commerzbank group).
According to US Forbes Magazine , Eyal Ofer is one of the richest Israelis and is listed in The World's Billionaires . Ofer is married and has four children.
