Eyal Yanilov

Eyal Yanilov (born May 30, 1959 in Israel ) is a teacher for the Krav Maga self-defense system . Yanilov was the chief instructor of the International Krav Maga Federation from its inception in 1996 to June 2010 . Since then he has headed the new Krav Maga Association Krav Maga Global .

Life

Yanilov learned the Krav Maga self-defense system from its founder Imrich Lichtenfeld . He started training in 1973 and has been teaching Krav Maga worldwide since the early 1980s. In 1996 he and other of Lichtenfeld's students founded the IKMF, a worldwide association for Krav Maga, at his request. Eyal Yanilov heads the “International School of Krav Maga”, which offers Krav Maga training for authorities and companies in the security sector. As part of this role, he trained the military Krav Maga instructors of the Swedish armed forces . Until he left the IKMF with Master Level 3, he was the highest graded IKMF instructor and headed the “IKMF Global Instructor Team”.

Together with Imi Lichtenfeld, he wrote the book "Abwehr armed attacks", which was the first book on Krav Maga to be translated into German.

The History Channel reported on Eyal Yanilov and the IKMF in the seventh episode of the Human Weapon series . In the DVD series Ultimate Krav Maga , Eyal Yanilov appears together with Amnon Darsa and John Whitman. Krav Maga was the godfather of the IKMF for Sam Fisher's hand-to-hand combat technique in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction . Eyal Yanilov was interviewed for Ubisoft TV.

In June 2010, Eyal Yanilov separated from the IKMF and founded Krav Maga Global (KMG), a new global Krav Maga association. Avi Moyal took over the management of the IKMF.
