eyebase mediasuite is an image management system or digital asset management system (DAM) from the German manufacturer CMB GmbH. The system is purely web browser-based and thus runs on almost all operating systems in browsers such as B. Internet Explorer (IE), Mozilla Firefox, Safari (Apple) and others.

Structure of the software

The digital asset management software "eyebase mediasuite" belongs to the area of content management systems . The overall system of eyebase is based on a database ( Oracle , MS SQL or MySQL ) with references to image files that referenced data sets and thus index files to be managed. Here are IPTC - Exif - and XMP -Information, but also uses a specially erecting metadata structure. All changes to the image files are synchronously saved in the same and in the index.

The formats IPTC-IIM and IPTC-Core that are common in the photography and media industry are used as metadata standards . If necessary, these standards can be modified by the system administrator or other standards can be integrated (e.g. Dublin Core ).

The system is used as an image database but also for the management of video files and documents in the advertising industry (e.g. Air Berlin, BMW, Malteser Hilfsdienst, Haribo, Continental Group), in banking and insurance (e.g. Hannover Re, BDO), at daily newspaper and magazine publishers (e.g. Wirtschaftsblatt), in press agencies or advertising and marketing departments in various industries, as well as with professional photographers.
