Ezannos sea jug ( Nymphoides ezannoi ) is an African species within the fever clover family (Menyanthaceae).
description
Ezannos sea can is a floating leaf plant. In the youth stage it has delicate, light green underwater leaves , which in a fully grown plant are replaced by floating leaves on long shoots.
The leaves, which reach a diameter of five to ten centimeters, are ovoid to circular and have entire margins. They are olive-green on the top and green to wine-red on the underside. They are deeply cut at the base.
The one to two centimeters large, in contrast to closely related species, pure white flowers are located above the water surface. The petals have only a slightly fringed edge and are shaggy hairy at the base. In contrast to closely related species, the corolla lobes are hairless.

Ezannos sea can occurs in Africa in Burkina Faso , Mali , Chad , Sudan , Niger and Senegal . It requires a water temperature of 22 to 30 ° C and a pH value between 6.5 and 7.5. It must be able to take root at the bottom.
Others
This species, named after the collector Père Ezanno, was not described until 1967 and was only introduced to Europe around 1988 . It is easy to keep in - preferably open - aquariums , grows quickly and flowers without any problems.
