Ezra Collective is a British jazz fusion band around the brothers TJ (bass) and Femi Koleoso (drums). Trumpet is played by Dylan Jones, tenor saxophone James Mollison and Joe Armon-Jones the keyboards . The London quintet, with its “technically adept mix of jazz , afrobeats , hip-hop and various UK club borrowings”, is one of those who aim neither for nostalgia nor jazz purism.

In 2016, Chapter 7 was the group’s first EP . The following EP Juan Pablo: The Philosopher (2017) was named best jazz album at the Worldwide Awards by Gilles Peterson . In the same year the quintet played twice at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club to a full house. Ezra Collectie received the “Best UK Jazz Act” and “Live Experience of the Year” awards at the Jazz FM Awards 2018. The quintet played at Quincy Jones' birthday party and completed a sold out UK tour before headlining the Winter JazzFest in New York.

2019 put Ezra Collective with You Can not Steal My Joy her debut album which with a short version of Sun Ra's classic Space Is the Place begins, the band plays for a long time in their concerts. Guests on the album, which "leaves old genre boundaries faster than you can listen," are Jorja Smith , Loyle Carner and Kokoroko . In 2019 the formation, which also performed at the Überjazz Festival , was honored as the best jazz ensemble of the year at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards .
