María Fátima Báñez García (born January 6, 1967 in San Juan del Puerto , Huelva province ) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Popular .
life and career
Báñez studied law and economics . From 1997 to 2000 she worked for the Andalusian radio company Radio y Televisión de Andalucía (RTVA).
Since 2000 she has been a member of the Congreso de los Diputados for the constituency of Huelva . On December 22, 2011, she was appointed Minister of Labor and Social Security in the Rajoy cabinet.
Báñez is married and has two children.
