The gabled , plastered building was built as a warehouse in the 17th century . It was later used as a residential building. During a comprehensive renovation in the 1970s, today's appearance was shaped. Inside the house was completely renewed.

The listed facade has a central risalit and four colossal pilasters on the upper floors . The front door, which is also listed, has a basket arch and is designed in the Rococo style.

The house is located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as a cultural asset " Historic Old Towns Stralsund and Wismar ". In the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund it is entered with the number 166 because of its facade and front door.
