Promotion Prize Theater of the City of Munich
The Theater Promotion Prize of the City of Munich is a German award for an artistically outstanding performance or an unusual artistic position.
It has been awarded every two years since 2014 to individuals or ensembles in all styles of theater and performance art. The basis is the current performance and previous work. Only artists or ensembles who live in the Munich region or whose work is closely linked to Munich's cultural life are eligible for award winners . The prize is awarded biennially and is endowed with 6000 euros.
The proposed law has the City Council appointed Commission . A personal application is not possible.

- 2014: Christine Umpfenbach , freelance theater director, for the projects she developed at the Münchner Kammerspiele and at the Spielart theater festival .
