The Förster Valley is a non-iced and around 2 km long valley on James Ross Island in the West Antarctic Weddell Sea . In an east-west orientation, it is 2.5 km south of Terrapin Hill and north of the base of the Forester Cliffs .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2006 based on the naming of the cliffs of the same name. Its namesake is the German geologist Reinhard Förster (1935–1987) from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , who was part of a team from the British Antarctic Survey to explore this area between 1985 and 1986.
