Føringatíðindi [ ˈføːɹɪŋgaˌtʊiːjɪndɪ ] ( Eng . "Faroese news ") was a monthly Faroese- language newspaper that appeared between 1890 and 1902. It was the first newspaper to be published in the Faroese language.

The Føringafelag association newspaper was published by its board. The first edition appeared in January 1890 and then regularly once a month for twelve years until the beginning of 1902. At times the newspaper was also published twice a month.

For the first five years Rasmus Effersøe was in charge of the leaf management . In October 1895 Andrass Samuelsen took on this task for a few months. From January 1896 Jóannes Patursson was temporarily in charge of the paper. In September of that year, however, Patursson left the Føringafelag and then resigned from the club's office in October. From October 1896, RC Effersøe was again in charge and remained so until 1901.

In the course of time, however, the pressure from new competing newspapers such as Dúgvan and Tingakrossur increased, so that the number of subscribers continued to decline. The growing disagreement in the association made matters worse, as did the increasing politicization, which eventually led to the formation of parties with Sambandsflokkurin and Sjálvstýrisflokkurin and party newspapers such as Dimmalætting and Tingakrossur.

As part of an attempt at resuscitation, two more editions were brought out in January and February 1906. Andrias Christian Evensen was the last head of the paper .

Poets such as Jóan Petur Gregoriussen regularly published poems in the newspaper.
