Fürstenstöckl in Ebenau

The Fürstenstöckl Ebenau is a local history museum in the municipality of Ebenau in the Salzburg-Umgebung district in the State of Salzburg . The present museum building is a listed building .

history

The Prince's original lodging quarters were restored in 1953.

architecture

The elongated two-storey main wing stands under a hipped roof and shows a marble cartouche Archbishop Paris von Lodron with the year 1634. The main wing is connected with a cross-arched bridge corridor with an almost square outbuilding under a tent roof. The arched portal is chamfered. There are baroque skylight grilles and window baskets. The roof has roof storage openings. The interior of the building has groin vaults.

Special exhibitions

  • A nativity scene exhibition takes place annually in Advent
  • From April 2018 to July 2018 there is a motorcycle exhibition in the Schaberhaus with historic motorcycles

Local museum

The museum shows the history of the hammer mill with two iron hammers, one from 1848, and rural culture.
