The house Fürstenwall 3b is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt . Parts of the house are used as a restaurant supplier to the court .

It is located in Magdeburg's old town west of the Fürstenwall , east of Magdeburg Cathedral .
Design and history
From 1821, this area has been entered on city maps as the Russian steam bath . Today's plastered building was built around 1850 in the style of the Italian early renaissance . Around 1852 the house was rebuilt for the entrepreneur R. Engel , which involved an increase in the then three-story building. Since the Fürstenwall stands out from the surrounding area and the building stands outside the wall, the house looks from the Fürstenwall as if it were only two-story. From the Fürstenwall there are two entrances that lead to the first floor. From the Möllenvogteigarten to the north, however, the ground floor and thus the three-story structure can also be seen.
The structure of the house is cuboid, the facade is designed in the shape of a Florentine palazzo. There are large arched windows on the top floor. The strikingly designed console cornice is striking. The building is covered by a flat hipped roof . The design is based on the architecture of Berlin apartment buildings, as it was common there after the end of classicism . It is the only remaining building of this architectural form in Magdeburg. The building is also considered to be significant in terms of urban planning.
In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 70015 .
