content
The little girl Temple lives in an alpine village, is enthusiastic about music and would like to become a musician herself. One day the wind blows her far away from her home during a balloon ride. Then she sees a group of musicians who are being pursued by robbers. She helps them escape and joins them to find her way back to her village. The musicians are the drumming orphan boy Tam-Tam, the cat Dora, who plays on her whiskers like a harp , the duck Gappe , who plays the horn , and the mouse Chuppi, who plays the flute . The group is also accompanied by the Fuwatto cloud, which can change into different forms, especially instruments. Besides the fact that they want to bring Temple back home, the group is on the run with their journey from Tam-Tam's evil master and his helpers.
Production and publication
The series was produced in 1977 by Tatsunoko Production based on an idea by Tatsuo Yoshida and directed by Seitaro Hara . The scripts were written by Jinzo Toriumi and Shigeru Yanagawa, and the character design is by Akiko Shimamoto . Kikuko Tada was the artistic director. The soundtrack was composed by Nobuyoshi Koshibe .
The first broadcast of the 26 episodes took place from October 1, 1977 to March 25, 1978 on Fuji TV . This was followed by television broadcasts in Spain ( Popular TV-TMT Madrid ), Latin America ( Cable Kin , UCV Televisión ) and Italy ( Super 3 , TelePace ) as well as translations into French and Arabic. In the 1980s, Harmony Gold tried in vain to sell the series to American television stations under changing titles such as Temple the Balloonist , Hot Air Balloon Girl Temple , Tiffany's Traveling Band or Sabrina's Journey . A dubbed version was not created for any of the English titles, the name Sabrina for the title character was also used in the Spanish version.
