Fərqanə Qasımova

Fərqanə Qasımova ( Ferghana Qasimova , Fargana Qasimova , born April 23, 1979 ) is an Azerbaijani mugham singer .

Live and act

The daughter of the mugham singer Alim Qasimov studied at the Azerbaijani National Conservatory from 1996 to 2000. In 1995, when she was sixteen, she took part in a concert tour through Germany with her father's group for the first time. She performed in the Heydar Aliyev Palace and the Concert Hall of the Azerbaijani Philharmonic and u. a. in Sweden, Japan, France, Austria, Belgium, England, Italy and Poland.

In 1999 she worked alongside her father as a singer on the album Love's Deep Ocean . In 2002 she took part as a soloist at the Women's Voices Festival in Belgium. Since 2004 she has been a member of Yo-Yo Mas Silk Road Ensemble . In 2006 director Kriss Delvill shot a fifty-three-minute documentary about her in Belgium under the title Meditation Day .
